I was reminded of your dreamy bird imagery when I read the following account of a poetry reading by in San Francisco:

"[Cassie Smith] talked about a terrifying dream she had where a bird flew into a window just next to her and dropped dead, then explaining that within twenty-four hours of that dream that event happened to her in real life. She wondered what her real name, Cassandra, might mean given this story. [One of the lines of her poem:] 'Our birds in flight with these lines.'"

Here is the source of the account:

So Glad to hear from you again Craig.

I want to add this Red Bird Series to a bunch of art message cards (15 so far, maybe 50 or more in the works) that I intend to self publish on YouPublish.com, but I can't get the files to upload. My computer ... I'm sure.

I don't know any other way to thank you for stopping by other than to say so here. I hope you find this message.

I haven't been to visit the blog address you suggested yet as my computer has been really finicky lately ... like that's news. It's really getting bad though, and I fear being stranded in the real world with no cyberspace link. I have no resources to get a new one ... unless my house sells before the computer crashes ... all the way. I feel grounded already. My computer is functioning on less than 5% of its total memory. One of the things on my list to buy, in celebration of closing a deal on this house, is a nice laptop. Not the best, because I will not be getting that much money -- but nice. I have to start over with the money from the sale. Everything.

Anyway, I am glad that you stop by now and again, and I hope that this blog does not go completely dormant. If it does, I will bring it back to life when I have some time and money. Keep checking in.

I guess all this mumbo jumbo is why you don't have your email address posted anywhere to be found on your sites. I have been back to visit a few times.

Bye now
- VCW,
Charline

I knew a Sandra Smith once. I wonder if her name was really Cassandra? I have been looking for her lately. I will try my computer again later to see if I can get onto some other sites and check out_
